Become an Entrepreneur!
Think about it. What does it take to be a successful entrepreneur? It isn’t just finding a great product or creating a great service although those are important elements.
The biggest key to building a booming biz is to build a better YOU. If you don’t, your business will flop. Or at best, be a flash in the pan. And building character isn’t something you can hire someone else to do for you, it has to come from within yourself.
The qualities it takes to build, establish, and run a business are what it takes to expand and sustain it, too. What specific traits am I talking about? Here are some examples:
Tenacity – Without this, you’ll fold at the first difficulty. You’ve got to stick to and reframe “failure” as “feedback.” Keep at it. Evaluate and revise, and keep at it some more. How long do you keep at it? As long as it takes.
Positive Attitude – Even with persistence, if you are gloomy or grumpy, no one is going to want to do business with you, either as a team member or a client. Focus on the good in people, in circumstances, in YOU. This helps turn troubles into triumphs.
Ingenuity – Face it, things don’t always go as planned. Don’t sweat. Look at kinks from different perspectives and change your approach. What resources do you have that could be used in varied ways? What connections do you have? Instead of fretting over setbacks, expand your thinking and adapt your actions.
Those attributes are just a few but, hopefully, you get the idea. But what, you ask, if these qualities don’t come to you naturally? Or how do you increase them?
Simple. Mind you, I said simple. That doesn’t mean it’s easy, but there are proven steps to take.
Devour self-help books and audios, hang around with people who ARE like you want to BE, get a mentor who shares your values and vision, and take action on what you learn.
See, I said it was simple. Do these things and step by step, it will build a better YOU.
Next question… what if you don’t already have a business in place and not even sure how to become an entrepreneur? One great way is to plug in to an already established system.
For example, consider a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company (also called Network Marketing) that has:
• products you love
• low start up cost
• values that match yourself
• education system that helps you and your biz grow
• mentorship program
The MLM itself may not be your dream, but is a great vehicle to gain skills and resources to do what you truly love. That’s where I started and so can you.
Whether you are just thinking about becoming an entrepreneur or you have several businesses (or anywhere in between), start today, right now, to build a better YOU. It only goes up from there!
